Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. Mark A. Welsh III presented the 2014 and 2015 Lance P. Sijan Leadership Awards to eight Airmen in the Airman’s Hall on April 7 at the Pentagon. It's the story of Lance Sijan before his capture that his sister, Jeanine Sijan-Rozina, wants people to know. Sijan-Rozina, along with New York writer Steven Miller, is writing a biography of Lance's life, titled This Life - The Lance Sijan Story.  With five years of correspondence in letters and tape, Miller and Sijan-Rozina hope to tell Capt. Janine Sijan-Rozina, Lance Sijan's sister, and New York Author Stephen Miller are writing a book to keep the memory of Captain Sijan alive. Sijan joined Wisconsin's Morning News Wednesday for an emotional preview of the book and a look into his life before the Vietnam war, which she feels is what really defined the man he was. Lance Sijan's sister, Janine, is working with New York author Stephen Miller on a book on Lance's life - how his strength of character and Milwaukee upbringing contributed to his bravery when faced with the unthinkable. The book will be coming out later in 2016. See the TMJ4 video HERE
